“Over 10 years ago, I engaged Peak Ventures to do a complete renovation of my house in Whistler; the works included the removal of walls, the formation of new rooms, the design and creation of a magnificent granite fireplace with display feature, the replacing of floors with French oak, the installation of new windows and openings and the removal of old, the complete overhaul of bathrooms and kitchen, the formation of a media room and a spa, the landscaping of the garden, the building of two new terraces (one of wood, the other of stone) and the decoration of the property throughout. All of which was offset by a new lighting system throughout.

The craftsmanship and attention to detail were exceptional. I have owned and renovated several properties in different countries of the world: none of them has been undertaken with such skill and such genuine enthusiasm, nor have the results endured for so long. In the decade that has followed my Whistler renovation, I have never needed a single thing changing or remedying or re-doing, and the house looks, and is, as good today as it was when the renovation was first completed. As with anything else in life, when things of quality are produced, they will usually last much longer. And when they are achieved by craftsmen who pride themselves in what they are doing or creating, it makes for a very lasting and personal achievement, and a very happy client.

I regard the project which Peak Ventures undertook as certainly the best, and, perhaps unusually, the most enjoyable, I have ever commissioned. Their advice and skill were entirely professional and of the highest standard throughout, never choosing their own convenience over mine, or compromising quality with a short-cut. I shall always be indebted to David Girard and his team for giving me a wonderful 10 years in a beautiful home. I can well remember the first time I saw the completed works on my arrival at the house after a long journey from Hong Kong.
